EKTON plans to build a 12,50 MWm biomass power plant in order to prevent environmental pollution resulting from the burning of stubble (agricultural waste) in the region, to provide a certain economic value to agricultural wastes, to contribute to employment in the region and to invest in sustainable energy.
Within the scope of this project, when we consider the gains not only for the investor as a whole;
- A continuous source of energy as food production / agriculture continues,
- Appropriate assessment of "Agricultural Wastes" left to rot or incinerated under unfavorable conditions,
- Approximately 35,000 TEP (Tons Equivalent Oil) savings,
- Preventing the methane gas to be formed by allowing agricultural wastes to decompose in free environment,
- With this investment, it will provide gains with continuous employment contribution to the region.
